Goal: Spark curiosity in the world of smart machines and how they interact with the environment.
๐งช Class 1: What is IoT & Robotics?
Pre-requisite: Basic computer knowledge and interest in gadgets
Activity:
- Show real-life examples of IoT devices (smart bulbs, Alexa, etc.)
- Demonstrate a simple robot or simulation
- Interactive quiz (Kahoot or flashcards)
Learning Outcome:
- Understand what IoT and Robotics mean
- Recognize IoT and robotic devices
- Differentiate IoT from a robot
Home Task:
- List 3 IoT devices you have seen
- Draw your favorite robot or smart device
๐ง Class 2: How Robots Think โ Sensors & Basic Programming
Pre-requisite: Attended Class 1 and basic understanding of IoT
Activity:
- Demonstrate sensors like motion or light sensors
- Use visual programming (Blockly/TinkerCAD Circuits)
- Robot movement simulation on a paper grid
Learning Outcome:
- Understand what sensors do
- Learn "If this, then that" logic
- Understand robot response through sensors
Home Task:
- Write 2 commands for your robot
- Observe one auto-system at home or school

Pre-requisite: Attended Class 2 and know basic sensor logic
Activity:
- Make a simple model using paper, LEGO, or simulation
- Virtual robot movement or paper prototype
- Present your robot to the class
Learning Outcome:
- Combine robot components to form a system
- Learn basic design thinking
- Build confidence in presenting ideas
Home Task:
- Write 3 ways your robot can help others
- Draw and label your robot with its parts
